Job Title: Merchandise Coordinator
Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and outgoing merchandise coordinator to facilitate the sale of merchandise to patrons during our 2023 season. The successful candidate will be responsible for displaying merchandise attractively, managing transactions, and tracking and maintaining inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up merchandise display areas before each show and ensure merchandise is attractively displayed and appropriately priced.
- Process cash, check, and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with accounting procedures.
- Prepare cash out reports following each performance and reconcile sales revenue against inventory.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely re-ordering of stock as needed.
- Secure merchandise at the end of each performance to prevent loss or theft.
- Collaborate with volunteers to ensure smooth and efficient merchandise sales operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons, resolving any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a cheerful and outgoing personality.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Reliable and trustworthy, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
