Job Title: House Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated House Manager to join the team at Circus Flora. The House Manager will be responsible for managing a team of volunteer ushers and ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the circus, and a wonderful experience for our audience.
- Oversee and manage a team of volunteer ushers.
- Ensure that all ushers are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties, including crowd management, seat finding, and customer service.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for the ushers, including safety procedures and customer service protocols.
- Coordinate and communicate with other circus staff to ensure a seamless operation during performances.
- Manage the logistics of volunteer ushers, including scheduling and assigning duties.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during performances.
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours and attendance.
- Plan and coordinate special events, such as VIP performances, and work with the volunteer ushers to ensure that they are properly trained and equipped to handle these events.
- Work closely with Box Office staff to coordinate seating needs.
- Ensure the inside of the Big Top remains clean; oversee the cleaning crew.
- Proven experience as a house manager or similar role in a large-scale venue.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Passion for the circus and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
